Hello from down under! My wife and myself have relocated to Australia so expect my pictures to start being drastically different from now on! I did take some time off last week to adjust to the new time zones and get used to things down here but I’m going to try and start posting on a more semi - regular posting schedule (days and times yet to be decided) so be sure to keep and eye out. Thanks again to all my regular followers who have asked where I’ve been as well it’s nice to be missed!
So for those who don’t know this is the Sydney Harbour bridge and can I start of by saying WOW myself! It’s absolutely stunning to look at and is probably the second most iconic structure in Sydney, (the first probably being quite obvious but more of that in later posts!)
So some facts about this particular bridge;
- Construction began in 1923 and took 9 years to complete, finishing in 1932 -
- It is (at time of writing) the 8th longest spanning arch bridge in the world -
- It is (at time of writing) the tallest steel arch bridge coming in at 134 meters from top to sea level -
- And finally it’s was added to the Australian National Heritage List on March 19th 2007 -
I loved taking this photo and I had so many options to choose from but this one stood out as both the flags were blowing away perfectly, the sky was a nice mixture of clouds and blue and one of the local ferries was speeding away adding some more features to the photo, what do you all think?
