Almost a year with the ZR, and the rig is still evolving.

It’s a little beast that’s proved itself in every condition I’ve thrown at it, rain, dirt, sand, sun, and night. The small form factor was great, but the second larger glass went on, it got front heavy fast.

Enter the Rigid.PRO Omnia and a V-mount to balance it out. (And yes, if you look closely, the dummy battery isn't even in or connected to the Omnia. For short takes like this, the battery & Omnia were literally just acting as very expensive counterweights).

I initially ran an Atomos Ninja, before the legend Thicc Nolte dropped his insanely good ZR Ctrl / Parallax Monitor app. Now the Ninja is sitting on a shelf collecting dust, and I’ve got all the monitoring tools I could ever need.

Even since these photos were shot, the setup has changed again.

More updates to come, until then I will continue filling my drives with R3D. Stay tuned.
