Sometimes I sit back and think about how far this journey has come, and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real.
At 17 years old, I was just a girl with a $300 secondhand Canon 7D, a love for horses, and absolutely no idea that one small moment would completely change the direction of my life. I still remember the day my beautiful friend Tsara handed me her camera while we were taking barrel racing photos. I picked it up, started shooting, and something inside me lit up instantly. What started as simple photos at barrel races quickly became something I was deeply passionate about. From that moment, photography stopped being “just a hobby” and became something I truly loved with my whole heart.
Back then, I never imagined photography would grow into what it is today. I never imagined people would trust me to capture some of the most important moments of their lives. What started as barrel racing photography blossomed into photographing families, maternity sessions, newborns, engagements, formals, and now even weddings.
Over the years, Clsphotography has grown alongside me. There have been moments of self-doubt, long nights editing, learning curves, stress, excitement, and so much growth — both personally and professionally. Being my second job behind working fulltime as a veterinary nurse and studying. There were times I questioned myself and wondered if I was good enough, but every single person who booked with me, shared my work, recommended me to others, or supported me in any way kept this dream alive.
Photography has given me so much more than photos. It’s given me confidence, purpose, creativity, opportunities, friendships, memories, and experiences I’ll treasure forever. I’ve had the privilege of capturing moments people will look back on for years to come — growing families, tiny newborn details, engagements, graduations, weddings, and memories that mean everything to the people in them. That is something I will never take for granted.
Today marks another massive milestone for me because I’ve officially purchased a new high end camera, leaving me with now 3 cameras on the ground, covering every angle. Saying that out loud honestly feels surreal. Younger me would never believe it. What once felt impossible is now sitting right in front of me, and it’s all because of the support from every single one of you.
To every client who chose me, trusted me, stood in front of my lens, supported my small business, shared my posts, hyped me up, encouraged me when I doubted myself, or simply believed in me — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have all played a part in helping Clsphotography grow into something I am so incredibly proud of.
This journey started with a simple love for barrel racing photos and a borrowed camera, and now it’s become one of the biggest passions in my life and my own business. I’m beyond excited for this next chapter, for the memories still to come, and for everything Clsphotography is continuing to grow into.
