UPDATE:
I haven't been able to do much photography at all or be able to post & spend much time on FB or IG as I've been having some pretty major eye problems. I've been regularly seeing the Optometrist & a specialist Opthamologist.
I've been at high risk of acute glaucoma in both eyes as well as high risk of macular or retinal tears & detachment in my right eye during & since PVD. The latter actually happened & a week ago today I had emergency laser surgery to try & repair the retinal tear. Today was a follow up review, my eyesight has been quite bad but all seems ok, the tear is healing & no retinal detachment, but it will take a while to settle & get any improvement in sight back again without painstaking, annoying visual disturbances, eye fatigue & pain... probably months.
Today I also had a different laser procedure to make a hole in the angles (drainage parts of eyes) as they are too narrow which creates the risk of acute glaucoma. Because I've had surgery on the retina a week ago, the laser holes could only be done to my left eye today, back again in 2 weeks to have the right eye done, all going well.
So, prescription eye drops, normal eye drops, pain meds when needed, no lifting or anything much and lot's of rest & hopefully I'll make a good recovery & be back on the camera & posting again.
