This shoot felt like home 🐾

My Assessment 3 project for ICO200 was by far the most fulfilling of the trimester. Photographing a real pet transport business was such a powerful experience — blending professional storytelling with my lifelong love of animals.

Working with real staff, real clients, and very real fur babies taught me how to adapt on the fly, communicate clearly, and capture meaningful moments that support genuine business needs.

This shoot reminded me why I want to pursue pet photography — it’s where my creativity and passion connect the most. Excited to keep growing in this space!

ICO200 — Assessment 2 Reflection 📸

This project pushed me completely outside my comfort zone — and that was exactly what I needed. Creating a stylised portrait series challenged me to focus on visual storytelling, bold colour use, and intentional posing, while also stepping into more advanced editing and retouching techniques than I’d attempted before.

While I’m still developing confidence with major image manipulation and deeper post-production work, this assessment taught me how powerful experimentation can be. Each image became part of a process — learning how to refine lighting, enhance mood, and make creative decisions that support both the subject and the story being told.

I’m proud of what I achieved here and even more excited about how these skills will continue to grow as I move forward. Creative growth lives outside the comfort zone — and this project proved that to me. ✨

WIL100 — What a journey 🤍

Looking back on this trimester, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. WIL100 pushed me to step outside my comfort zone — not just creatively, but personally — and to start seeing myself as a real professional rather than “just a student”.

Through developing Torrens Calm, exploring visual storytelling, branding, and content creation, I learnt how to bring empathy, intention, and purpose into my work. This unit reminded me that design isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s about connection, community, and creating something that genuinely helps others.

Thank you to my lecturers, classmates, and everyone who supported this journey. I’m stepping into the next trimester feeling more confident, capable, and excited about what’s ahead ✨

Trimester wrap-up 📸✨

This food photography shoot became a real reflection of how much I’ve learned over the past trimester. Working with a lightbox and reflective surfaces pushed me to better understand lighting control, texture, and composition — and definitely showed me where I can continue to improve.

I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and excited to keep developing my skills both in studio and on location.

Watch this space!!

I'm currently working a graphic design project, whereby I am creating a logo and package for some dry cat food. I've called my product "Nom Nom's" and have based my mascot on my ginger cat, Ninju. As you can see, the sketch is currently a rather rough draft at this stage so I can't wait to digitise my logo.

In some rare downtime on Friday, my partner and I took to the beach with our precious little pooch. We enjoyed frolicking along the shore, stopping to explore the fauna and flora before attempting to walk back to the car in 1 cm waves (which Princess lived up to her name and demanded to be carried as she did not want to wet her delicate paws).

Princess is deep in thought, thinking of all the adventures she would like to go on.
