Giving a fellow photographer friend of mine a plug in here.
If any bands or artist friends of mine are interested in getting some live photos or EPK photos done around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, get in touch with on IG.
She has had a number of years experience photographing bands both on the GC and in Melbourne where she ran a multimedia studio called until last year when the Covid-19 pandemic started.
She’s relocated to Southport and is after paid work in the photography and music and art modelling world.
She doesn’t have her own transport atm, so I’m happy to take her to gigs and shoots if/when she gets bookings in Brisbane.

I’ve recently downloaded this app, which enables you to transfer old negatives into photos to save onto your mobile device without the need of a darkroom.
It’s called Filmbox by Photomyne.
I’ve got heaps of old photos that I took between 1982 - 2008 before I switched to using a digital camera. So once I can dig them up, I will start putting some of them on here.
I know that I haven’t been very prolific in here of late, but some personal and mental stress has got in the way of things.

What a pity that there are some gutless people in the local modelling world playing Chinese whispers with models whom I want to work with and sullying my name to them from distorted truths that they have heard second hand about me, without even bothering to consult me first and get the story first hand.

Why can’t models learn to just accept themselves the way they are instead of wasting their money on non essential cosmetic surgery?
This sort of crap needs to be discouraged instead of encouraged, especially as many of their followers are young impressionable girls and they need to be setting better examples for them.
Every aspiring model needs to watch the film “Embrace” as well as read the book “Psycho Cybernetics” by Dr. Maxwell Maltz before embarking on a career in the industry.
Don’t compete with other women in the looks department. Be yourself. Unapologetically.

Happy Christmas to all my followers. Thanks for supporting my work, it is much appreciated.
Since landing myself a new job a few months ago, I have more money and time to invest with my photography next year.
