Casual engagement shoot with some funny pharmacists @ an amazing location on the Mornington peninsula - definitely the most beautiful location I’ve shot at in Melbourne by far!

Loved the crispy golden light by the beach! This was actually a “plan B” location (one of which I’ve never heard of before the day itself!) but was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful scenes were!

A few week's ago I had the privilege to capture Sammy and Emily's wedding, where they exchanged vows before God and before their friends and families. Having shot a number of weddings and engagements, I was getting tired and wondered to myself whether I was getting numb to the beauty and significance of weddings. Am I just taking part and profiting from the spectacle of a social convention that some argue is outdated and unnecessary?

Alas, the repeated wedding sermons fill my thoughts:"Marriage points to Jesus' love for his people!"

In church, our pastor taught us about the way the writers of the Hebrew bible repeatedly use a word to describe God's character: "Khesed". It's often translated as "faithful love", describing the repeated steadfast kindness that God shows towards His people, even when they turn on him and rebel! For Christians, Jesus' death on the cross for us rebels is the epitome of this. Those who follow Jesus are told to demonstrate this sort of love to those around them (and especially towards their spouses).

What a beautiful thought to behold.

So here's hoping that these pictures will serve as one of the many reminders of the vows you've made to one another if things ever get tough, and that through your marriage people will see the gospel lived out!

Quick fun engagement shoot with Sarah + Ed! The weather forecast said there was a 70% chance of rain, but instead we were greeted with near perfect golden hour lighting.

Last wedding of 2021 with H+I!

The weather was perfect to celebrate the union between the two lovebirds. Shooting the 'Malaysian' aspect of the wedding was also rekindled some nostalgic memories of home.

Big shout out to the team w/ Clement Tee Visuals who did so much artistic directing - I've much to learn from them!

first time doing a post-wedding (like REALLY post-wedding) photoshoot.

I sold my second EOS R and 85mm and made a risky decision to buy a Z6 and the controversial Nikon 58mm 1.4G and decided to shoot this whole session with this combo since I had two weddings coming up and I have 0 regrets!

Not only is the 58mm a fantastic lens (lightweight + character), the Z6 is a seriously underrated camera body!

So here's hoping that Nikon doesn't go bankrupt given their financial woes ):
