Outdoor family sessions ❤ How cute is this little family?
I gotta be honest. We've been pretty lucky in our family, hubby has been working at home and while my work kind of dried up a bit involuntarily, I've also really loved the opportunity to just hang with my kiddos and be grateful for my teaching background! I've had a bit of a break from social media too, which has been a nice change. I've stayed out of the debates around photographers working or not working, but I do feel confident now to offer pretty much all of my sessions again. And while I'm leaving my session prices alone, I do feel called to some special offerings for families who might be finding themselves wanting photos right now (I know we've all been reflecting on these things) but are suffering financially with all the goings on. So please reach out xx

To all the midwives I have been fortunate enough to be looked after by, to have conversations with and learn from, to witness and photograph tending to families, listening to women, catching babies, allowing birth to happen, making toast and tea, cleaning floors and birth pools, answering calls from anxious pregnant families, from new parents feeling the overwhelm, dropping everything and rearranging plans, juggling their families to do this most important work. A sentence of course couldn't possibly capture everything you do, but thank you. For all of it. Happy International Day of the Midwife.

So I've been quiet for a while. Digesting the events and strangeness of the past few weeks. (I did start a personal account though at for my plants and kiddos and food etc.) I have many thoughts, questions, observations, musings. Hard to know where to begin which is why I haven't. Teaching my kids at home for the past week. Bit nuts but we are doing fine. Reflecting on how lucky we are to love the company of the people we live with. I have some beautiful sessions from the past few months to share with you, but I didn't want to hijack any of them with talk of current events. I honestly don't know whether I'm able to take bookings at the moment, hospital policies have become very restrictive and while it seems logical to me that some types of family sessions are possible, many photographers I know have chosen to stop working completely. I don't have the answers but am certainly open to the conversation. Stay well, mentally and emotionally too xx
