It was forecast to be windy and rainy, and Lakshan and I spent the days leading up to the proposal coming up with backup plans and alternative locations.

But in the end, he decided it would be the beach — rain, hail or shine.

And sure enough, it rained. The wind was wild. I stood on the beach getting rained on and praying for it to clear up and texting updates. But as luck would have it, the rain stopped at exactly the right moment.

Somehow, Lakshan managed to convince Pahasara that their post lunch beach stroll should still go ahead.
The rain chased everyone else away, leaving the beach almost completely empty, and it ended up being a beautiful, intimate proposal with just the two of them on the beach.

Congratulations, Lakshan & Pahasara.

Family photoshoots should be fun. Not just standing and smiling at the camera, but spending time together, playing, exploring, and capturing the connection that makes your family yours.
Sharing a few frames from a beautiful afternoon at the beach with this gorgeous family of five. The last time I photographed them, they were a family of four—and none of us knew that their little girl was already there, quietly growing in mum’s tummy.
One of my favourite parts of this job is seeing families return… watching their families grow and helping them preserve different chapters in their life. So grateful to still be doing what I love and to be trusted with these memories.

A few frames from Josh & Ella’s Brisbane elopement 🤍
They chose an intimate ceremony at the Brisbane Wedding Registry, surrounded by just their nearest and dearest—all dressed in black for the most stylish celebration.
Afterwards, we headed to the City Botanic Gardens for photos, with the whole crew tagging along (some on scooters!), plenty of laughs, and champagne shared straight from the bottle.
Proof that you don’t need a big wedding to have an unforgettable day!
Planning a Brisbane Registry wedding or elopement? I’d love to capture it.

A beautiful winter afternoon at Lake Samsonvale, capturing another special chapter for this gorgeous family.

It feels like only yesterday I was photographing their little girl’s first birthday, and now they’re a family of four celebrating their little boy turning one.

We started with soft overcast skies and finished with the most beautiful sunset reflecting across the calm lake. As a bonus, a curious little bird decided to follow us around and join the photoshoot, keeping everyone entertained and adding a little extra magic to the afternoon.

These milestone sessions are some of my favourites — preserving not just how your family looks, but all the little personalities, connections, and moments you’ll want to remember for years to come.

A Colombian and a Dutch who met and fell in love while living and working in Australia.
Before leaving the country where their story began, Sebastian and Demi chose to elope as a way of saying goodbye to the place that brought them together before starting married life abroad.
No elaborate wedding plans, no overly posed moments, just the two of them, celebrating their love and creating beautiful memories to take with them into their next chapter.
These intimate, heartfelt stories are always such a privilege to capture. 🤍

✨ Now booking couples sessions and elopements.

Fourth photoshoot with this beautiful mum and son duo, Skyla and Blake.

Every year around the same time, we meet on their property to take photos together. When Skyla first reached out to me years ago, she said these annual photos were a birthday gift to herself, something just for them to remember at that stage of life.

Of course Hector, Skyla’s dog, has been part of the tradition every year 🐾
But this time there was a new addition… Blake’s own puppy!

Capturing this little tradition grow each year is just so special ✨ .

Some frames from Esher & Rory’s elopement ✨

I loved how these two did the day completely their way. Nothing traditional, nothing expected. Just what felt right for them.

Esher wore the happiest yellow dress, with the sweetest bow in her hair, it was so uniquely her. And Rory’s ring bag… honestly, I’ve photographed a lot of weddings and I’ve never seen anything like it.

They kept things beautifully intimate with an informal fun feel, with just a small group of loved ones there to witness their vows. Afterwards? No formal reception — they went bar hopping around the city to celebrate 🍸

When we chatted about photos beforehand they told me they wanted deliberately awkward photos, they wanted their photos to reflect them. Real, a little quirky, completely them.

You don’t need a “scenic” location for dreamy family photos.

This beautiful family told me they wanted to keep things simple — somewhere close to home in Brisbane. So we chose a local parkland just with a few minutes from their home.

I hadn’t photographed this exact spot before, but that’s the beauty of experience — I can step into any location, find the light, and create something beautiful for your family.

We had so much fun running, twirling and finishing the session with lots of bubbles belly laughs. ✨

From the UK to Brisbane… and straight into forever.

Ollie & Charlotte chose Brisbane as the place to elope during their 6-month sabbatical travelling the world. How cool is that, getting married mid-way through your travels, and then having an extended honeymoon!

They exchanged vows beneath a beautiful tree, soaking up that golden Queensland light, just the two of them and officiated by Jamie . Afterward, we wandered through the stunning lookouts and lush surrounds of Mount Coot-tha, capturing their first moments as newlyweds with the Brisbane city skyline in the distance.

No pressure. No big guest list. Just love and adventure!

Sarah and Josh told me “We both love spending time at the beach and forest.”

So of course their engagement session had to feel like them.

We chose Tallebudgera Creek — the dreamiest stretch of sand with that lush greenery backdrop. Even on an overcast day, it was absolute magic. Soft light, moody skies, and the kind of calm that makes everything feel a little more intimate.

My favourite part? When I suggested jumping into the water… there wasn’t a second of hesitation. Holding hands, running straight in, full of laughter!

I love couples who embrace the moment and trust the process. Sarah and Josh are the definition of laid-back, fun, and completely wrapped up in each other.
What an honour to capture these special photos for them.
