Hello folks and welcome to Wanderphil Imagery, this is my page for all things photographic that I do. Since closing Gooble Warming, I've tried to keep actively creative, having rediscovered an old passion for photography during our travels of Australia, I've be

come more and more interested in exploring this wonderful art form. And as much as this is a hobby for me, I absolutely love the ritual involved in making photo images. The thought and preparation, the adventure heading to location, exploring and awaiting the moments that beckon capture, looking through the results and finally choosing the images that best express that moments experience. I hope you enjoy viewing my images just as much as I have loved creating them.

Welcome to 2015 !!
It's definitely an exciting year ahead, being my first year as a teacher, I feel I will be well challenged and no doubt time poor for anything but school. I really hope to find time to get out and about with the camera, I'm sure opportunities will arise, I know that time management is the key.
So, wishing everybody happy endeavours and a wonderful 2015 and the first image for this year's monthly cover photo is from Rainbow Serpent Festival , taken in 2013, the Chill Stage was beautifully designed and lit at night, as can be seen here. Unfortunately I won't be making it to Rainbow Serpent, the first time I will have missed the festival in 12 years. For everyone who is going, please have a boogie for me.

500 likes~! and the first day of summer, let it roll on.
This month's cover shot is of Tooloom Falls at the head waters of the Clarence River in northern NSW.
This is a great spot, it's a free camp that overlooks the falls, well worth a stop over if you're travelling through or around Urbenville.
I hope you enjoy the view.

it's that time of year again, and time to make a call out to see how many people might be interested in a 2015 WanderPhil Imagery wall calendar.
Just like this year's calendar shown, they are full colour with a different photo for each month, large date squares with plenty of space to write, important dates and holidays etc - of course they would make great xmas presents.
for about $18 delivered (in Australia), if you are interested, please let me know asap so I can get an idea on how many I should be ordering.

With the end so close, only a few assignments to go, and I'll have my teacher qualification. I can't wait to be able to get the camera out again, I've really been missing it. I need to get some more images to put together another calendar for 2015.
So here's November's cover shot, it's an image of Scrub Creek in Conondale up in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Queensland. This beautiful creek runs through a friends' property, I thank them for access to this awesome place and feel so envious they have this at their back door.

I'm so immersed in assignments - I've let the first week of October go by before realising something was missing!
Welcome to October's cover shot from Benwenerup in Western Australia. A surreal afternoon was the result of a mixture of smoke from the surrounding bush fires, an approaching cold front and a spectacular WA sun setting. This is the glorious view over Stokes Inlet.

Hooray! It's spring, a new month and a new photo to celebrate! September's cover shot is from Voyager Estate Winery, Margaret River. Amongst the beautiful setting of this exquisite estate and winery, this beautiful arbour leads a path through to the 'werf' gardens, traditional Cape Dutch walled gardens where a large variety of plants and flowers are showcased in geometric hedges and pathways. Of course, the wine is great too, and Voyager have a reputation for some of the finest wines in the Margaret River region.

Welcome to August and this month's cover photo taken from Lake Nuga Nuga in Central Queensland. This huge shallow lake has appeared relatively recently, capturing the flows from the surrounding sandstone ranges through Arcadia Valley. it is the convergence of a number of creeks and the Brown River. I was there well after the 2011 floods that ravaged Queensland, the lake had been full and wildlife has clearly taken advantage of the abundance that ensued. By the time I had arrived, the waters had receded and in the area where I was camping, the surface bubbled with fish trying to find escape from the shallowing pools. It's an almost eerie view across the lake, tree skeletons rise out of the water drawing you into the distance and the sandstone cliffs of Carnarvon National Park

The late afternoon colours at Carnarvon Gorge are simply incredible. Here is the view from atop the Boolimba Bluff, which overlooks the gorge that Carnarvon Creek has carved, and the camping ground directly below. It's a pretty rigorous climb from the main walking track, especially with a load of camera gear, but well worth the effort. From here the view to the distant ranges and beyond to Expedition National Park is amazing. This was the night of the super moon, and I was lucky to have the bright moon to light up the path on the way back, one of the more ambitious walks I have done on my own.

Enjoy, and share if you please.
