Join us for The Winners’ Circle, an intimate conversation with the artists behind the 2026 Brisbane Portrait Prize winning works, moderated by Rebecca Levingston, host of The Room.

Featuring: Pat Hoffie, Dane Beesley, Matthew Cheyne and Rachel Dioso-Villa.

Hear directly from some of this year’s winners as they take us beyond the finished works and into the ideas, stories and creative decisions that shaped them. From the first spark of inspiration to the relationship between artist and sitter, discover more about the journey each portrait took before finding its place on the gallery wall.

It’s a profound honour to share that my portrait of Uncle Bob Weatherall has won the Performing Arts and Music Industry Prize at the Brisbane Portrait Prize.

My deepest gratitude to Bob, a man of immense wisdom and presence for trusting me with his story, his time, and his image. Sitting with him was an extraordinary privilege.
