Robot #3 from the CSIRO project. This tracked robot is built for rugged terrain and if you look closely you can see it’s been well and truly tried and tested in the field. Lighting was important to show all the main features but I also wanted to add a little colour for some fun 🕺 🪩

Robot #2 from the CSIRO project 🤖 This unit is easy to imagine as a helper in our everyday lives.
For this shot, I wanted the lighting to emphasise the geometry and engineering detail, a futuristic vibe without feeling overly clinical.
Robotics photography is a fun challenge: metal surfaces, angles everywhere, and the balance between technical accuracy and visual impact.

Over the next few days I’ll share some of my favourite robots from this project, each one with its own design, purpose, and lighting challenge.
