Wife to an absolute (I am definitely punching), and mummy to two beautify girls (they get it from their dad)... These are the things I love most in the world. Oh... and of course my little family of Photography gadgets! Forever allied to chocolate, M&M'S and pretty much anything hazelnut flavoured. I could watch movies all day long, or The Office (US) series. More than once...

Forever intrigued by light and beauty and all things creative. People always ask me how long I have been a photographer. I don't know what the right answer is to that, or how long is actually considered a "long" time... But! When I was in school, I volunteered to be the "Official Informal Photographer" (and I was TERRIBLE!)... 15 years later here we are and who would have thunk it! (Oh my gosh. Fifteen years! Shhhh!)

But... I can say that I have been paid to capture moments and memories for the last 7 years, I have been flown to exotic locations all over the world, and have the privilege of travelling Australia, photographing weddings and families near and far. Over the course of my career, I have shot in both easy and difficult locations and conditions. I consider myself extremely versatile and always work with what I have in front of me. I am definitely a natural light photographer and tend to chase the suns footsteps where I can. I have a journalistic and editorial approach, capturing both detail and emotion. Although this is my job and business, it is my passion first, and I absolutely love the privilege of travelling alongside people in their journeys. The events are special for sure, but I can honestly say its the people I treasure the most. If I am photographing your engagement shoot, I hope to be there for your wedding, your first baby, all your other babies after that, your 25th wedding anniversary, and everything in between. I have built really special and close relationships with my clients, and I consider them friends. So... Come on!! I can't wait to meet you, and make new friends!!

Back in the “not-so-great” hair days.
AKA 1999. I was 16 and she was 35. Taken on a bus somewhere in Durban South Africa. Hard to believe that I am older now than she is in this photo. Grateful for memories and treasures like this 📸.
Not every photo has to be perfect.
Not every memory has to be from some grand occasion.
Stop waiting around for something spectacular. Time eventually reveals to us that the spectacular comes in the small nothings of the day to day rhythms in this life.

And then s**t happens …
One minute you’re prancing around in a fat suit, the next you’re drinking gin at lunch with the rest of your jobless crew. Brutal redundancies after a ruthless corporate takeover saw me, the rest of my girl gang shoot team at Youfoodz, and some (many) absolute gangster creative legends walk in to work this morning, and out at lunchtime without a job. I have had THE BEST time working with these legends, and I am shattered to say the least.
I wasn’t looking for this job- this job found me. And now it’s left me broken hearted. Big corporate takeovers from international companies mean photography gets hauled overseas in big corporate offices… leaving only shattered dreams of shiny new studios and the humbling experience of finding new income.
Hey you guys are freaking LEGENDS and I was so proud to be part of your team. Thanks for the endless belly laughs, the mad photoshop lessons, the crude food jokes, and the lifelong friendships. I can’t believe I am saying goodbye so soon - legit a day becoming permanent (the irony).

It’s been a week since I turned 39 🥳, and my 39th birthday I spent sick in bed… I’m slowly on the mend but I read this post about a week before, and I absolutely LOVED it and it resonated with me so much! So here’s a picture of me and my gorgeous friend , just a week shy of my 39th birthday, living my best tutu life as if I was 6years old again! Because - who the heck cares anyway! Live your best life! 🥂
