"Dancing in the Autumn Mist"

It's rare to get fog in the township of Bright, so when I saw that it was forecast a couple of weeks ago, I got up early and went fog-chasing! Sure enough, there was a narrow band of quite-thick fog sitting amongst some trees that I'd always thought were quite photogenic, just as you enter town. Luckily, it held there just long enough for me to set up and take this photo.

I couldn't resist posting one other shot from my visit to Ladies' Bath Falls last week - I think the vertical orientation (and a slightly shorter shutter speed) really emphasize the volume and velocity of the water flow. It was incredible! So loud that it was hard to think!

"Under the Mistletoe"

Who else was taught that mistletoe in Australia is bad because it's parasitic and it will kill its host tree eventually? I was surprised to learn a few years ago, that actually, mistletoe is pretty harmless to eucalyptus trees UNLESS the tree is stressed (because of drought for example). It's funny how there are some things you learn as a kid that you just take as fact... only to find out as an adult that the reality is a lot more nuanced!

Anyway, here's another foggy country road... and the dangly bit is mistletoe :)

We're really thrilled with the quality of these ones - the covers are a bit thicker than last year and we tried to include less foggy photos! 😁🤪🤭

They're $25ea, or $30ea including postage.

"A Thunderous Lady"

I don't often post twice in one day... but this is Ladies' Bath Falls right now!! It is absolutely thundering! The noise is all-encompassing - you can hear the waterfall from the carpark! I've actually never seen it with this much water. It is truly a sight to behold. So awesome!! Worth getting drenched for!!
