Soon the footy season will be upon us… so I went rummaging through the archive of black and white negatives for a little nostalgia hit — and uncovered this gem: the 7Sport Footy Commentary Team, from my shoot in 1988.
The one who impressed me most? Malcolm Blight — razor sharp then, and not long after, the man who would take my beloved Geelong Football Club to three… yes, three… losing Grand Finals.
Everyone in this photo is still with us — except, sadly, Drew Morphett, whose voice was the soundtrack to so many great moments in the game.
