Hmmmmm....

In July of this year I was treated to a photography experience in Tasmania. The day included a trip to Port Arthur, a former notorious penitentiary, using Olympus Digital camera gear. I was fortunate enough to have the OM-1 Digital for the day, a 20.4 MP micro 4/3 with a vast array of selectable options, almost all of which I didn't use.

I had just one day with a new camera in a location I'd probably not get to again. The basic controls are the same as my own DSLR so I concentrated on capturing photos rather than learning about a camera that I'd not be likely to own. Only after getting shots that interested me did I delve further into the menus.

Other images included are of Hobart, the harbour, Town Hall and carriage horses. The tall chimney was the site of a gas works, now a Hog's Breath cafe.

The Hobart photos are not taken with the Olympus.

A couple of garden delights

Found this ant feeding on pollen in a pansy, the flower is small, the ant tiny, no more than a couple of millimetres I'd say. Could not see it when I was choosing which flower to photograph only when it was on screen did I notice it.
