20 years today!! ❤️
I look at that passport stamp and laugh. I came to Melbourne thinking I’d only stay for a little while.
Twenty years later… I’m still here.
I guess I missed my flight home. 😂
Over the past 20 years, I’ve studied, built a career, met my husband, become a mum to three beautiful children, and discovered so many passions along the way… photography, gardening, painting, cooking and, yes… a slightly obsessive love for mushrooms. 🍄
I’ve met incredible people over the years. Some were only part of a chapter, while others have become lifelong friends, but every single person and experience has helped shape who I am today.
What was meant to be a short adventure turned into a life I never imagined for myself.
I’m so grateful for the friendships, the opportunities, the quality of life, and most of all, the future my children have here.
Sometimes I still can’t believe it all started with one flight, one simple goal to study , and a young woman who was convinced she’d be going back home in six months.
