Cold winter mornings bring a golden hour to images. Although it’s a darker part of the day, it brings a beautiful glow and captures effects you don’t always see, from the dust kicking up beneath the hooves to the steam rising from the horse and their breath in the cold air.

It’s one of my favourite times to photograph. Camera in one hand, coffee on the side ☕️📷

As a photographer, I’m there to capture the moments, but I believe it’s about so much more than just the action.

It’s about capturing the raw, in-between moments too, the laughs, the conversations, the concentration, the little moments you may not even realise are happening.

North West Cow Horse ✨

Saturday had a glow that wasn’t just in the arena, but in the people too. Smiles, laughter and drinks shared as the day came to an end. 🍻

It’s been a busy three days, and there’s still one more day to go. The positive vibes haven’t faded, and the atmosphere has been incredible.

RHAA Ranch Cutting
One of the highlights of the event was the ranch cutting. The excitement and action could be felt throughout the arena as the competition came to life.

The control and focus between horse and rider was incredible, two minds working together with trust, precision and skill.

Working through this gallery, I’m sitting here feeling so grateful to have captured these moments. It’s not always about the speed, it’s about watching the horsemanship unfold and following every moment through the lens of my camera. 🤎
