Our meeting on 23rd April will be a light painting workshop.
Visitors welcome. The Studio, Memorial Hall, 21 Coromandel Parade, Blackwood. 7:30 for 7:45 Start.

Please bring the following items:
camera / wide angle lens / batteries
tripod
remote control or mobile with Wi-Fi connection to your camera
torch with a diameter of 25mm to 35mm
any sabers, wands or other coloured lights
water to drink

Please wear all black or dark clothing, including a baseball cap without any logos showing otherwise you will need to edit these out of images in post processing.

There will be 3 different stations within the hall for people to rotate through during the workshop. Please take a turn actually doing the 'painting' and not relying on others to do all the work. As you all would be aware, it will take many long exposures to create a decent image.

Two of our members will be running a workshop on Black and White photography at our meeting on 27 March. Mark will present on the subject of digital black & white photography whereas Ray will take us back to black & white printing in the darkroom.

Our next meeting, 12 March, has the promise to be a very fascinating one with Peter Bos introducing us to Plasmodial Slime Moulds.
You don't have to travel far to photo Slime Moulds. The Mount Lofty Ranges, the wetter gully forests around Belair National Park and the Cleland Conservation Park are all locations worth exploring after good autumn rains. You will be surprised what you will find on the rotting logs and leaf litter at these locations.
