Cracker Night 2026 was... well... a cracker! Special thanks to Derek, Janice, all the family and the Bicheno Lions Club for all of your wonderful efforts, once again. Our little community is so very lucky to have these great people creating events that bring joy to so many! Thank you all for another fantastic and safe event.

I couldn't pick my favourite images... you decide!

Spring Beach and Stapleton Beach, south of Orford, are connected by a rather delightful cliff walk. Maria Island stands proudly in the background, surrouded by a gorgeous blue/aqua ocean. How lucky were we? The sun came out and the winds died down just in time for us to enjoy the magic that this area has to offer.

As a last hurrah for 2025, my little sidekick and I set off with our fabulous friends on the Hazard's/Wineglass circuit at Freycinet. The sun was shining, the aqua ocean glittered invitingly and the soft, white sand gleamed brightly. 5 hours of joy and I can't wait for the next adventure.

Always a pleasure to support a wonderful local event. There are countless locals who give tirelessly to our community, and I’m so happy to be able to contribute, even though it’s in such a small way.

It's days like this, that I feel like the luckiest photographer in the world. I've watched these beautiful girls grow into gorgeous young women, two of whom are now wonderful mothers themselves. To be asked to capture these memories is nothing short of an honour. Thank you, wonderful R/P/C family 💚🩵💙

If you're looking to create some beautiful memories like these with your family, please reach out for some further information. I'd love to help you with your photographic needs.

I couldn’t be happier with how these have turned out this year.

These calendars make a fantastic Christmas present for family and friends - it’s the gigt that keeps giving all year!

Cost is $25 and please add $5 each for postage anywhere in Australia. I’m also happy to post to someone else on your behalf.

Pick up is in Bicheno (or Swansea on weekdays).

Thank you for supporting local small businesses 💚💚💚

Eastern Greys of the East

Eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), also known in Tasmania as forester kangaroos, reside in the Darlington area on Maria Island. These imposing creatures are Tasmania's largest marsupial and can reach heights of 2m and a weight of around 60 kg. Moving by hopping, they gather in groups of 3-4, but can occasionally be found in mobs of 10 or more.
Now a protected wildlife species in Tasmania, Eastern grey kangaroos were introduced to Maria Island in the early 1970s for the purpose of conservation and managing the island's vegetation through grazing. While 45 kangaroos were originally introduced, the current population is estimated to be around 1000.

If this photograph becomes a finalist, it will be exhibited at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, during Beaker Street Festival 2025 www.beakerstreet.com.au/photography-prize/
