The one thing that instantly makes you relax when having your photos taken?

This pose. We start here to get everyone feeling comfortable by simply walking away from me.

After a little while you’ll hear me saying ‘STOP COME BAAACK’ because you’ve walked half way down the beach by the time little trigger friendly me has got THE shot or 50!

But we have fun!

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this mum twice now, for both of her pregnancies. It was a no brainer to head back to the same location for the second one. They are now enjoying their last few weeks as a family of three before welcoming their new little addition.

The one thing that instantly makes you relax when having your photos taken?

This pose. We start here to get everyone feeling comfortable by simply walking away from me.

But why? He was just born like yesterday.

Motherhood is absolutely FULL of moments you are never ready for and a lot of those moments are the ‘last times’ that you didn’t know was going to be the last time.

The last time they went in the baby swing.
The last afternoon nap.
The last time they take a bottle.

These things happen without you realising it AND THEN you realise just how quickly it’s going.

Please, don’t forget to have professional photos of these years. It’s truly the best thing you could ever spend your money on. All the material things can wait, your kids won’t be this age forever.

I’d love to plan a fun, family photoshoot with you, so if you haven’t had family photos taken this year or have been on the fence about it, do yourself a favour and just book it in. Future you will have no regrets, I promise you this.

For the Melbourne mum who somehow ended up at Chadstone when she swore she wasn't leaving the house.

You know how “I'll just quickly pop in” somehow turns into an entire afternoon?

That's a little like newborn photos. You think you've got plenty of time to book and suddenly you're 36 weeks pregnant wondering where the last few months went.

The difference? Your newborn photos actually needs a little planning.

They are for the version of you who was exhausted, unsure and completely in love all at once. They are for the version of you who won’t remember the exact smell of their head, or the sound of that first cry unless something makes you stop and catch it.
