Today's drive around watching clouds passover the district. They became Severe warned further east. Unfortunately today not much rain fell over Berringa.

The wind turbines are from the newly constructed Rokewood windfarm.

The sunset on 9th Of January 2026 was intense..A lightning barrage lasted hours into the night. Fires were started andn was surreal to witness the emergency ...

WE ARE SAFE

Thanks to everyone that reached out to check on us yesterday and the offers of help are gratefully appreciated.

Just a quick update. These images were captured JANUARY 9TH 2026 from Berringa. Looking west towards the Skipton complex of fires.

The Fires around us were at emergency Level for several hours.

There is currently fires still burning in the district.
More fires starting over night.

The early evening lightning barrage continued for hours and resulted in more fires starting, it was surreal to see the emergency services attended and extinguish the fires as they popped up..
