What a ripper day at the Bomb Squad's 2nd Annual Bowling Club Battle and Hot Rod Show🔥💣

The Bomb Squad rolled in to Wisemans Ferry Bowlo with an absolute army of hot rods, classics, cruisers and beautifully built old bombs.

Plenty of chrome, horsepower, sick modifications and stories that definitely got better with every telling. 🍻😎

Big thanks to everyone who brought their pride and joy along, and to the club for putting on another bloody great day.

Good cars. Good mates. Good times.

A New Generation Behind the Camera 📸

We’re pretty proud to share these shots from Chad Jeffery, who is entering his first photography competition at school!

Speed & Chrome is very much a family business, and Chad has always been around cameras and cars. Whenever we’re out at events, Chad is often the one grabbing a camera and getting stuck into shooting alongside us.

But this time he’s stepped away from the cars and turned his eye towards the landscape, and we reckon he’s captured some seriously awesome images. 🌄📸

Whatever happens in the competition, we’re already pretty damn proud of him!

The Aircooled Assembly have received confirmation that Tamworth Regional Council will not grant approval for the use of the Barraba Showground for our Muddy MAYhem event.

The Aircooled Assembly, along with those that have assisted along the way, have been invested in seeing this through to a result, and we are all obviously very disappointed with the outcome. We will take some time process, recharge and regroup to discuss the future of Muddy Mayhem. For right now, we need to focus on bringing you Back to the Bush Auto Festival 2026.

So what will we do with the trophy and major Muddy Mayhem 2026 raffle items?

This year, at Back to the Bush Auto Festival, we'll see a show and shine car category just for Muddy Mayhem cars, just for this year. We invite those who entered a car in Muddy Mayhem 2025 + 2026 to bring their car to join the Muddy Mayhem car display. The winner will be presented with the Muddy Mayhem 2026 trophy.

There will also be the opportunity to win the little 32 Croc Rod from Croc Rodz, vintage painted esky by AM Lines and the gr***de fire pit from Bigbore industries at Back to the Bush, more information on how to come.

Back to the Bush 2026 will be held on Saturday the 17th of October at the Barraba Rsl & Rec Club, Barraba. It is our free community event which we hold each October. We feel adding the Muddy Mayhem car category is a great way to catch up with our car family and for you to see where the proceeds of Muddy Mayhem goes. Along with seeing each others car improvements and additions, it will also be great to chat about what a mudrun is and what it means to us.

What a cracking day at Winterfest Port Stephens Car Show!

Set right on the stunning waterfront, it doesn't get much better than sunshine, great people and an incredible lineup of cars.

From rough and tough rat rods, Aussie V8s and classic American muscle, right through to exotic supercars like McLarens and Corvettes, there was something for every car enthusiast to enjoy.

The variety on display was second to none, proving once again that Australia's car community is one of the best around. A perfect day spent admiring horsepower, chrome and craftsmanship in one of the most beautiful locations in NSW.
