After 10 years of building a successful photography business… I didn’t expect to be here again.
Starting over has a way of stripping everything back.
Not just your systems or your brand, but your pride, your certainty, your version of “how it should look by now.”
It humbles you in a way that success never does. But it also reshapes you.
As a South-African in Australia, there’s something about rebuilding in a new country that deepens that process even more. You carry where you’ve come from, while learning to grow roots where you are now. It’s both beautiful and stretching at the same time.
And for me, that foundation has had to go deeper than strategy or business plans. It’s been anchored in my faith. When things shift, you realise quickly what was built on effort and what is actually held by grace.
This time I’m not just rebuilding a business.
I’m building something stronger.
More aligned. More sustainable. More intentional.
A LEGACY - not just a livelihood.
And even though it feels like a reset, it’s actually a refinement.
If you’re in a season where things feel like they’re being rebuilt, you’re not behind.
You’re being shaped.
