I’m sharing this on behalf of a very talented friend of mine.
Photographers put their heart and soul into their photos, weekends away from family, hours & hours editing images, advertising etc.
If you love a photographers images so much, do the right thing and have the decency to buy it!
Trust me when I say, memories are worth spending the money on, and if you get to support beautiful people like Kelly in the process then it’s absolutely worth it.
I’m feeling a little disappointed, and I’d really appreciate everyone taking a moment to read this.
I’ve just been sent a post using $75 worth of my photographs, all screenshot from a gallery and used without being purchased. It’s happening far too often.
I give up my weekends, my time with my family and countless hours behind the camera, editing and running my business to capture these moments.
Photography isn’t just a hobby for me. It’s a small business that I work incredibly hard at, and when someone screenshots my work instead of purchasing it, I’m losing income from the time, effort and money that goes into creating it.
The watermarked images in my galleries are there for viewing, they are not free images to use.
If you love a photo enough to want to use it, please support the photographer who gave up their time to capture it and purchase the image. ❤️
I’ll be keeping a much closer eye on unauthorised use of my images, and I will be contacting people I find using screenshots without permission.
