Apparently my kids have outgrown the Easter egg photo op 😭 So we’re going way back to Easter 1985, my bestie Matthew and I at Playgroup.

If you’ve got little ones who still let you photograph them with their eggs, take the pic. It’ll be super cute to look back on one day!

Before our session I ask my clients, 'Do you have any family heirlooms or treasured items that you would like in your photos?'. Here is mine: This is my treasured tea set that my late Nanna bought with her when she moved from Ireland in the sixties. We bring it out for special occasions like welcoming a new baby into the family. It is so special to have a little piece of Nanna there with us.

This family holiday home bathroom used to be just for the adults. Now it's a full production. Teenagers, mums, aunties and not nearly enough mirror to go around. They've grown up coming here, and somewhere along the way, they stopped asking permission and just squeezed in ;)

Do you know what photo I really wish I had? One of my Grandad Max in his veggie garden. That was his happy spot and holds so many memories for me. I’ve got his old shoe horn sitting on my mantle now - such a random little thing to keep, but it reminds me of all those garden days together.

I can still see him sitting at the backdoor, using that shoe horn to slip on his “outside shoes” before we went to check what was vice enough to pick.

This is exactly why I do what I do now. When I snap pics like these weathered hands tending to fresh plants, it’s more than just a photo - I’m keeping little everyday moments that seem like they’ll be around forever... until suddenly they’re not.

Had the best day at ‘Accidentally Wes Anderson’ exhibition in Melbourne with my friend Jelena! Incredible places captured with rich colors, vintage vibes, and that signature symmetry I can’t get enough of. If you know my work, you might already spot a little of his influence in the way I frame moments. As a big Wes Anderson fan, I left inspired to bring even more of his cinematic magic into my work!
