UNCENSORED

Here is one of Brocky's cars in all its glory, unlike the TV version.

Ahh the irony.

At this year's Bathurst 1000 is the celebration of 20 years since we lost Peter Brock.
Unfortunately most of his iconic race cars aren't part of the celebration of his life, due to his major sponsor being a to***co brand.

There was one of his Torana's on display, but it had its livery modified & sponsors name blocked out all in the name of stopping people smoking.

But as this car made its way around the track a waft of cigarette smoke came over me, followed by a cloud of v**e by people smoking in the crowd.

Obviously the sponsorship ban hasn't stopped the crowd smoking, and everyone knows who the cars were sponsored by anyway even if the names have been removed.

following on the old service station theme.

This classic now has a new life as an antiques store, but hasn't lost its charm.

Last Chance Petrol

Always loved passing this old service station in Capertee, with the racks of secondhand tyres & old wrecks in the yard waiting to be cannibalized for spare parts in case a passing traveler breaks down.

Not sure if I posted this set publicly, but here is a throwback to the last movie at the West View Drive In Movies at Dubbo.

Opened in 1970 & closed in 1987 this place was full of nostalgia with all the original playground & fittings including a lot of original signage, menus & decor from that period.

The venue lay idle until a volunteer group re opened in 2017/18 but finally closed in 2022 once the land was sold to property developers.

The final night saw a lot of vintage car owners turn up to relive the nostalgia & was followed by the old cars taking to the main street for some late-night cruising just like the good old days

Another one of the National Motor Racing Museums cars that is used for the Fathers day rides is this replica of the 2014 great race winner.

This years Fathers day rides will be held a week later due to racing on this weekend at the Mount Panorama Circuit

Some more shots from the old school wrecking yard Small Ford Spares in Minto (South West Sydney) taken back in 2019.

Places like this used to be everywhere but are becoming more & more uncommon. Which is why I went down to record this little gem of a place before its gone.
