There is a moment in every season of life
where you realise you are not who you were, but you’re not quite who you’re becoming either.
This piece lives in that in-between.
Becoming began with poppies in motion, petals fluttering, bending and dancing with the light. I was drawn to the way they refuse to stay still. The way they surrender to movement rather than resist it.
I kept thinking about how often we try to hold ourselves steady…when what we’re actually meant to do is move.
To change.
To loosen.
To trust the turning.
This work is part of my Dancing Flowers collection, a series about softness and strength coexisting. About allowing yourself to evolve without needing to explain it.
If you’re in a season of gentle transformation, not dramatic, not loud...just quietly becoming. This piece may feel like a companion.

Lately I’ve been thinking about the quiet joy of receiving something in the mail.

Not a bill. Not an obligation.

I keep thinking about how rare that feels now. When was the last time you opened something that doesn’t demand anything of you?

When did you last receive something made with care. A small moment of beauty. A pause. Something that says: I thought of you.

I think many of us are craving small moments like this…some beauty, slowness, something just for us in the midst of full lives.

I know I am.

I’ve been working on something in the studio that carries this feeling.

I’ll share more soon.

Introducing Elkie our newest family member. She is settling in really well and has stolen our hearts 💕 She is pure joy! 🐾🐾

Elkie loves to help in the office, she takes care of all the waste paper making sure all the documents are shredded ready for disposal ♻️ , she takes this task very seriously 😂

Looking forward to sharing more about her and spending time with her in the studio as she grows.

My work often begins with flowers, movement and photography and select pieces evolve through hand-stitching, paint, and texture…a slow conversation between image and hand. I create original artworks, limited edition prints, and small offerings designed to be lived with gently over time.
I also love turning the letterbox into a place of beauty, sending art and words as a quiet monthly ritual.
Everything I make is an invitation to pause, soften, and reconnect…not to improve yourself, but to remember yourself.

Hello, I’m Clare 🌸📷
I’m an artist and fine art photographer drawn to quiet beauty, movement, fluttering petals, small details, and the way nature mirrors our inner lives.
I make work slowly, often beginning with photographs of flowers and botanicals, sometimes gently adding embroidery, paint and had touched marks. I’m not interested in perfection. I’m interested in presence and peace.
My work is shaped be seasons of motherhood, change, tenderness, and becoming. It’s made for women who have lived a little, felt deeply, and are learning to listen inward again.

I had the pleasure of supporting the Incognito Art Show this year and donated three pieces of artwork, this is an annual art sale, like no other, you have no idea who the artist is when you purchase an artwork and profits raised go towards funding programs that support artists working with disabilities.
