Judy and I aren't regularly attending horse events anymore so no equine photos for quite a long time.

However, we went to a very enjoyable concert last night with Darling Range Wind Ensemble. They just get better and better with each concert we go to - if you get a chance don't miss them.

I took my camera along and had a bit of fun - heck, I even won the raffle thanks very much.

DRWE members, you are welcome to copy any of these shots you might like. If you happen to want a better quality image than a FB copy, message me with details and I'll send you a hi-res image.

We don't post too much on this website and it looks like it's a year since we posted anything. Never mind, it's Blackwood Marathon time again and we had a very enjoyable day yesterday photographing the equine section.

All photos are now uploaded to our website and are available for viewing. If you wish to purchase any shots, hopefully you can follow the website instructions. Don't forget you can flag any with the little heart thingy to save as favourites. That saves a lot of time if you come back later to pick and choose before ordering. We ask for an email address but it's only to retain your favourites. It isn't used for any other purpose.

We've only a few for Facebook but there are several hundred shots on the website. Have fun finding yourself and your friends 🥰

We had a good run in the processing department and all photos from yesterday's Blackwood Marathon are now uploaded to the website.

You can easily scroll through the thumbprints or at any time click on a shot to enlarge it. Ordering can be done from the website if you wish.

Another great Blackwood Marathon event was held yesterday. It was beautiful weather and the competitors looked as though they were having fun - lots of smiles even towards the end of the equestrian section.

We've uploaded our photos from the Vet Ring but the on-course shots will be quite a few hours yet - hopefully by this evening.

Today we had fun attending the Pink Ride for Breast Cancer fund raiser at Darling Downs.

There was a good turn out of riders with lots and lots of pink and many lovely horses turned out amazingly well. I got my good dose of rich Bays which my friends know photographers prefer to those white and orange horses 😎

The photos are now all loaded on our Down Under Images website where you can browse at your leisure and purchase if you wish.

100% of proceeds will go directly to the fund raiser so feel free to be generous with your purchases - it's all going to a really great cause.

If ordering photos from the website, we recommend purchasing digital images - you get to keep the image and use it for Facebook or to print photos. You can order prints from us but we tell you clearly, they are expensive and the postage is even more expensive - out of our control, so we recommend digital images. But watch out, the default is prints so look for digital images.

We have been photographing endurance horse riding for quite a few years but at the end of this year's season have decided to stop doing that. We are now available to photograph Pony Clubs and Adult Riding groups and events and if available would be happy to attend some of those events. We don't charge an attendance fee but hope to cover our costs from sales.

All WERI rides tend to be a lot of fun and the WERI Greenhills ride last weekend was no exception. The weather turned into an early expression of spring and warmed right up. It was decided to start the 80km ride at 5.00am to bring them home a lot earlier. That's too early for photos of course but we got on course a bit before sunrise. It came in quite foggy and that was interesting too. Later the fog lifted, only to come back with a vengeance dropping visibility to about 50 metres.

The ride went through fantastic crops of several different grains but the canola was spectacular. The 40km route went through rocky breakaway country highly suitable for bushrangers but we kept them away for the riders.

I tend to forget to post photos here as I usually post some on the WAERA page. However, here's a bundle from the recent Jarrahdale Endurance Ride which was a lot of fun and a beautiful day.

There are hundreds more on our website but these are some random shots from Saturday on the ride.

All photos that are downloaded from the website are high-resolution and quite suitable for enlargements up to 12 x14 inch. Should you wish to print larger - say poster or banner size - just let us know and we'll provide the suitable image at no extra cost. All downloads are digital and cost $8 and a link is sent immediately. Actual prints are more - plus postage.

We managed to get to our first horse endurance ride for the year on the weekend. We'll miss a couple now until we return in May to see some more.

Yesterday's ride was in Wilga, not far from Boyup Brook in the south-west of WA.
