Those 2020 Australian bush fires really smashed through.

On our journey down Australia's coast as the fires were still happening and some as they had just burnt out (or put out) we decided to throw the drone up to see how badly everything got hit. We saw a lot of devastation. There were not any positive things. Just the ruins of what was.

Seems like a lifetime ago that we ventured (Jaydon and I) throughout some fire-stricken parts of Australia's coast which killed billions of animals.

The amount of life that was taken with those fires was and still is indescribable.

I'm finally at a point with all my images that I can share and tell of their stories.

"Ethereal Elegance: Black Swans' Silent Glide"

I was able to get away last weekend and clear my head.
I produced this series on a morning when daylight started to hit and the mist wasn't rising, but instead it just sat and allowed me to capture its very essence.
I loved the process of black and white photography from such an early age. It always lands a punch, and I'll always enjoy taking the old work horse out for a play on occasion. (Nikon F3)

In the meantime, I'll be just using my trusted R5 paired up with some good gear and better concepts.

Moving forward I'm going to be concentrating on my black and white process to see how far I can take it within all the different grounds.

I had the pleasure of catching up with Timothy Poulton and Wendy Klein who run some epic workshops at ONE OF A KIND PHOTOGRAPHY as well, so if you have the desire and a crushing empty spot that needs filling with an adventure, these guys are the ones to go with.
