Hand held low light photography is a great way to wind down after a busy day, the streets are empty of people and cars and it is just so peaceful. To have conditions like this were just a bonus.

I was invited to attend a workshop during Ballarat's Heritage Week to investigate Architecture and Poetry.....feelings stirred in us by architecture.....how we interact with buildings. Old and grand buildings such as Craigs Royal Hotel provide a solid and luxurious appeal. In contrast more modern buildings focus on economy and speed of build. Lydiard St is home to both types.....grand and opulent old buildings and those commonly seen in the former East Berlin. Drab, grey and unwelcoming.

I was doing a photography course back in high school around 2011. And I was using my teachers Canon Digital SLR camera and he let me go free range to take any photos I wanted, and this was one of the results of my photos I took. It was put into the school gallery and every time I see it I have happy memories of the photography course I did.

What's inside the Morning coffee

I had just got my 105mm sigma macro few days before and one morning i just opened a fresh bag of coffee beans in from local roasters 2 blokes coffee roasting in Ballarat and the sun just happened too glance the top of the beans in the packet with a warmth about it so I grabbed my camera and took the shot and then continued to make my morning coffee ☕️
