I wanted to share something personal with you all. Over the past week I’ve developed sudden and significant vision problems related to my ongoing cancer, and I need to step back from photography for the foreseeable future while I focus on treatment and protecting my remaining eyesight.

This means I won’t be taking on any new bookings for now.
Photography is such a huge part of my life, and I’m deeply grateful for the people who’ve supported my work, trusted me with their memories, and followed my journey. I hope to return when my health allows, and I’ll keep you updated when I can.

It was a bit wet and windy this morning but this property photo shoot went ahead anyway! I love how sunlight softens on rainy days and all the plants glow with life. 🌿☘️🌨️

I had the pleasure of photographing artist Michael Miller, who is currently exhibiting his stunning paintings as part of the Blackwood River Arts Trail. Michael’s work is deeply inspired by his time exploring the outback and the incredible wildflowers of Western Australia.

You can visit his home studio at 12 Carey Street, Bridgetown and view the exhibition until April 20th. Well worth a stop if you're in the area!

It is a great honour to be invited to photograph all of the artists participating in the Blackwood River Arts Trail this year. Christine Latham is one of the artists I have been fortunate enough to meet and it was so moving to hear her tell her story represented in the artwork she stands before in this portrait.

Christine is a professional visual storyteller of Yamatji/Caucasian descent, and her art is displayed in the Things we Make Bridgetown WA art gallery. You might even get to meet her there in person and hear her story. 💚

Until now I haven’t had freedom from society’s expectations, Today, I am, authentically, ME.

Represented by Dog Woman (Dog meaning loyalty to one’s self, in my indigenous culture, is my totem), I stand proudly holding Snake to discard the past growing a new ‘skin’ and Magpie for balance.

Goorbiliyup River, Road and Tree honour Keanan/Wadandi/Pibelmen country upon which I live
and work.

Before me is Kangaroo Grass, vital to First Nations’ People, with its potent, widespread
significance for Culture, Ecology and Sustenance
