Here’s Flower 1. I wanted to share this one because the compact magenta bloom sits against a tangle of silvery-green leaves in a composed, calm way. The layered petals form an almost sculptural head with a dense, darker core ringed by lighter tips and tiny pale anthers that catch the light like scattered beads. The vivid pink reads as a deliberate accent against muted greens, giving the piece a tactile, quietly confident presence. Last weekend was another weekend of feeling weak and recovering and hubby had a great idea to go for a short walk in the sun at Banksia Peninsula with my camera (of course, it goes everywhere with me!). My daughter is loving having one of my old cameras too.
