A Proof of Concept. A Balance Worn.
This is the foundational piece of the Almanac Australia collection. The Almanac Beanie is a tangible proof of concept: that conservation, ethics, and luxury can be woven together.
Each beanie is handcrafted to order in our Canberra studio, using 100% Australian Merino Wool sourced directly from Adagio Mills in NSW. Knitted on restored vintage equipment, it features a perfectly tapered crown and a density that speaks to heirloom quality.
The crowning pompom is crafted from wild Australian fox fur, ethically harvested from necessary conservation work in the Yass and Bungendore regions. The signature leather patch also tells a story, sourced from local deer leather, transforming another invasive species into a mark of purpose.
From the paddock to the final stitch, this piece came to life within a 400km radius. It is a warm, beautiful, and enduring response to an ecological crisis.
