Well guess who I spotted today our "Derrick" looking very chunky, when I called out to him and woke him up he decided that he was getting to the top of the tree... He is looking so good, Now I could take offence at this, but I won't. Thought you might like to see how good they are at climbing.

Located three Koalas today on my walk, no tags so not Daphne, Derrick or Philippa. Two were in the same tree. All healthy which is such a bonus. One in a tree near the road so I hope it stays off the road tonight. Quite breezy today and they of course were up the top of the trees

Came across this Tawney Frogmouth this afternoon, he was really hiding against the tree trunk, it just caught my eye as to the strange little branch sticking out, but I found this instead. He was only small I have seen bigger ones in the past. Just love that I can wander around our farm and find things like this living their best life. Spotted a koala yesterday but was unable to get a clear shot with the camera to see which one it could have been. See less

Wandering in the garden this morning this lonely solo bottle brush just hanging down caught my eye. My photography is about what I see and what catches my eye, sometimes its a bit weird and thats ok because it's all about what I love and what makes me, me.

Ok, looks like we have a resident Boobook Owl, I think I am going to be a bit obsessed. Anyway, just two more shots I took yesterday, I will try and control my trigger finger on the camera. The eyes are so amazing, but the owl is definitely wanting to sleep. Have been on koala watch but things are quiet I think they are in their winter trees.

My Phil came up to the house to get me to come down to the old dairy there's an owl resting on the rafter. What a wonderful surprise to find a Boobook Owl trying to get some sleep. We haven't seen one before but thought there must be some around the farm. Boobook Owls are one of the smallest owls found commonly in Australia, he or she must be after some mice. We often get the possums when there's feed in the shed. Anyway another bird to tick off in my bird book.
