The cost for the mini sessions will be $100 which is a 58% discount from normal family session pricing. The sessions will go for 30mins at the ever-popular Colmslie Beach Reserve. During this time we will try a few locations in the immediate vicinity and aim for a final image count between 10 and 20. The high resolutions images will be retouched, colour corrected and supplied (without watermark) via digital download.

Sometimes you can blindly surf a site or brochure and not realise that there are photographers behind everything you see. I love these kinds of shoots because you always end up learning something, working behind the scenes with the client to make them happen.

Personal share.
I suffer from imposter syndrome, most creatives do. There is so much to learn and so many things to keep across. It's hard to feel like you are "good at what you do".

Early on when I began shooting weddings, I was lucky enough to learn from an amazing Northern Rivers photographer by the name of Vicki James. I remember one day I was her second shooter for a wedding in Ballina. We had just finished shooting groom prep and we were riding on the way to bridal prep and I asked her, "How do you know when you produce good work?" She simply said, "If your client is happy, and they are hanging your photos in their home, then nothing else matters".

This is so true and something I remind myself of from time to time. Vicki shot our wedding (pictured) and yes, we have her photos hanging in our home too 😀 Shout out to you Vicki Anne !

Sometimes it's easy to forget that you are your own worst critic.

I wish I could edit video this quick.
Recently I had the opportunity to produce a content package for the team at The Practice West Village - Modern Dentistry & Facial Aesthetics at West End. Over a four hour period, we shot 15 videos and a suite of commercial high res images for use on their website and socials. Video below is a five minute timelapse creating a video for the team. 👍

When you need height...
The family trampoline! Perfect for the group shot at a grade 6 graduation session. It was such a great idea, attended by some 25 families before the event.

While they were dressed up, the kids had the chance to get individual portraits and as well as photos with their friends before they say goodbye and head to high school in 2023. Thank you to Amber for the behind the scenes pic 😊 📸
