Daisies in my garden. Thurgoona

I was looking out of my patio door whilst getting to know my Honour 600 Pro phone/camera which I had bought recently.
I noticed that the morning sun was highlighting both the beautiful colours of the flowers and the buzzing insects.
I carefully went outside and snapped off a few quick shots!

Victorian High Country

Spring in the Victorian High Country is my favourite season for photography. With wildflowers in bloom and a native bee busy gathering pollen, opportunities for images like this are everywhere. Captured with my Nikon D2, i believe this photograph celebrates the colour and beauty of spring in the bush.

A Rose After the Rain

After a quiet shower at the local Botanic Gardens, this rose stood alone, its petals still holding onto tiny raindrops like little reminders of the storm that had just passed.

In a garden full of colour, I chose to photograph it in black and white. Without colour competing for attention, the delicate textures, soft light, and glistening droplets become the focus. The fresh petals contrast with the weathered ones below, telling a story that every stage of life has its own beauty.

To me, this image isn't just about a flower?it's about resilience. Even after being battered by the rain, it remained standing, carrying each drop with quiet grace. It's a reminder that life's challenges may leave their marks, but they can also reveal strength, character, and a different kind of beauty.

Sometimes, the most powerful photographs aren't the loudest ones. They're the quiet moments that ask us to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the beauty that remains after the rain.

Festival of Speed, Winton Raceway

The drivers suit draped over the rear wing of a Porsche caught my eye whilst walking along pit lane at the Festival of Speed at Winton Raceway. Taken with a Nikon Z6ii and a 28 to 400 mm lens.
