Photographers who specialise in landscapes are a dedicated bunch. They devote great effort to shooting just a handful of frames, patiently researching locations and diligently turning up at dawn and dusk in case the light is right. Their world is one of perfection and patience, an art form practised with great care that can teach all photographers some important lessons.

One of those places that stays with you long after you’ve packed up the camera gear.

I’ve probably processed around 220 photos from my last trip — squeezed in between family life, shifting cities for the day job (the one that funds this “hobby/addiction” 😂), and everything else life throws at you. I’m also trying not to accidentally repost images… the struggle is real.

For everyone asking: yes, more are heading to HAED.
Around 150- 200+ images have already been submitted for all the stitchers out there (tbh Ive lost count). HAED will decide what gets released and when, but I always love seeing people’s progress.

I can’t quantify how far through the full collection I am — I took thousands upon thousands of shots and video — But I’m calling it “over the hump” because it sounds motivational and I need that energy. And honestly, every time I revisit these moments, it brings back the best memories of the epic trip.

Hope BC has some interesting history. Its one of many locations for TV series and Rambo First Blood (I think) ?.

If I ever get to go back, I need to stay longer.

Finally get a chance to process some photos. Butchart Gardens, Vancouver Island BC. Even photographing this place at the end of season, with a huge storm cell about to hit the island it was a worthy visit and one to add to your travel stops, will have a few more to go through yet. Imagine the colors in season, it would be mind blowing!!
