There are some days that just feel like warmth from beginning to end.

Cara & Colt’s wedding at Pepper & Salt was one of those. The kind where nothing feels rushed, where laughter lingers, and where you can feel how deeply two people are known by the ones around them.

It wasn’t about spectacle. It was about presence. Quiet glances, full-body laughter, hands that kept finding each other without thinking.

The kind of love that doesn’t need to prove anything because it already feels like home.

Growing our little tribe this Autumn 🍂💛

If you’ve seen me floating around weddings (or Albany, let’s be real) carrying what looked suspiciously like a watermelon under my shirt… surprise! There’s a little love growing in there, slowly cooking away, and joining us Earthside this Autumn.

This sweet babe has come along to every wedding with me this season – quietly tucked under my camera strap, as I’ve captured so many of your beautiful, love-soaked moments. I can’t quite put into words how grateful I feel to do this work – to witness your joy, your vows, your families, your tears. It has honestly made this season of life even more meaningful.

I’ve got a handful of upcoming weddings that insanely talented photographers Jessica and Ebony will be lovingly capturing on my behalf (you’re in very good hands). And after that, I’ll be soaking up some precious slow time before jumping back into documenting love stories later in the year.

Thank you for letting me do what I love. This season – in every sense – feels like such a gift. 🤍

I’ve got my girls: And honestly? That changes everything.

The people you surround yourself with on your wedding day hold so much power—not just in how the day looks, but in how it feels. They’re the ones setting the tone, holding the calm, bringing the joy. The ones who remind you to breathe, who know your stories, and who show up not just for the celebration, but for the whole journey.

Bron’s bridal party? A walking, laughing, tear-welling proof of that. These girls were there before the first message, the first date, the early jitters and big feelings. They encouraged her to swipe, to trust, to fall. They’ve seen this love unfold from the very beginning—and getting to witness them celebrate her like this… it was something else.

And just to keep things interesting, the skies decided to have their own little moment down in the Great Southern. The rain danced in and out all afternoon, and yet—just as Bron walked back down the aisle, the sun showed up right on cue. We shuffled a few things, stole a golden hour window, and watched it all unfold in that perfectly unpredictable, soul-rich Great Southern way.

There aren’t many weddings left this season. But this one? This one felt like a love note to everything I adore about this work.

As the year draws to a close, I keep thinking about this golden day back in May. A wedding that reminded me that intimate doesn’t mean pared back, and small doesn’t mean anything less than full of soul.

Just 15 people, black tie, a candlelit banquet, and that soft, crisp kind of autumn light that only May seems to hold. It was deeply personal, wildly beautiful, and completely centred around what mattered most: being fully present with the people they love.
