Head On Photo Festival is a world-leading annual event showcasing Australian and international artists across Sydney, presented by the non-profit organisation Head On Foundation. The Festival is a major platform for discovering new talent, re-discovering established artists and exploring new technologies and ideas through exhibitions, workshops, discussion and collaboration with other events. At the Festival’s heart are the Head On Photo Awards in Portrait, Landscape, and Student categories. The Foundation also runs an extensive year-round public engagement program, including workshops, seminars, artists’ talks, exhibitions and portfolio reviews. Head On celebrates all genres and techniques covering photojournalism, commercial, fine art, mobile phone photography and multimedia.

One of my most beloved photographs Rising Jade was featured during Head On Foundation Spotlight 2020. I shared the story behind my inspiration for making the photograph with Moshe Rosenzveig who is a founder and creative director of Head On Photo Festival. It was an incredible honor to be a part of the Spotlight photographic community.
