So I’ve been calling this a de-branding rather than a re-branding.
For a long time I’ve kept different parts of my photography in different places. Weddings over here, documentary projects over there, books and prints somewhere else.
The funny thing is, they’ve never really felt separate to me.
The way I photograph a wedding comes directly from the years of experience in documentary work, and the experiences I’ve had through weddings have absolutely shaped the way I approach my personal projects too.
So over the next little while you’ll see everything gradually coming together under my own name, Paul Charles Bartlett.
Nothing is really changing about the work itself. If anything, this just feels like the most honest way to share it.
I’m excited that people who know me through weddings will get to see more of the projects, books and stories that shaped the way I see the world. And people who discovered me through those projects will get to see how that same approach carries across into weddings.
One photographer. One way of seeing. Just different stories.
