"After insane amounts of work, re-work, and higher-res sequence rebuilds, I'm happy to present my first major time lapse edit since Silver Lining (https://vimeo.com/18235468). The concept and structure of MORE THAN THIS began around 4 or 5 years ago, with selected time lapses being shot between 2010 and finishing up only a couple months ago. Over 12,000 photos were shot for the time lapses used. Sometimes shooting and editing was pushed aside for long periods while other video or photography projects took precedence, but this edit has been gnawing at me in some form constantly. The sequences were shot in my two favourite states; South Australia and Victoria. You might need a second watch to grasp the storyline, but basically it's a meditation and reflection on the pace of man-made life and then the natural world. Please watch full screen and with the volume up as the soundtrack is a major component in this edit; it's more effective with the bass on. Keep an eye on the last sequence as it contains a comet (Comet Lovejoy).
