Pt.2
Following on from yesterday, here is the second set of 10 mages. Each year our editor asks us to choose our favourite images from the last 12 months.
This year was quite difficult, there were so many great images, memories and experiences. After eventually culling down to about 50 or so images, I finally picked the 20 requested.
Each of these has its own story to tell, not every shot is technically perfect, but they all resonate with me for their own reasons. While some made it to print, others were left on the cutting room floor.
You can see the final selection of the sporting images in this week's Bunyip newspaper.

Well, footy/soccer season is over for another year, at least on a local level.
Now it's time for cricket, tennis, cycling, swimming etc.

Today is 'prep day'.
☑️ Batteries charged (even the back-ups).
☑️ Gear is checked and sorted.
☑️ The lenses I plan to use for the weekend (even the 400mm and 600mm not in the photos) ALL get a clean.
☑️ Credentials sorted.
☑️ Metadata tags saved.
☑️ Memory cards formatted.
☑️ Double check everything.
It's a weekly job, but one that should never be overlooked.
If your gear isn't maintained, it will fail sooner rather than later, and usually at the worst possible moment.
