Austin & Jordan | Muddy Puddles Photo Shoot
It has been almost a year since I did the camping photo shoot of Austin and Jordan and I was having trouble coming up with something that was going to be equally as good.
We had a lot of rain a few weeks ago and there was a spot in the parklands that we drive past almost everyday that had flooded. I decided we would do a muddy puddles photo shoot - the boys had been asking to jump in muddy puddles for as long as I could remember.
I was pretty sure there would be a little puddle left the following week so Austin and Jordan put their gumboots and jackets on and grabbed their umbrellas and we drove to the spot I had in mind. Turns out it was a very big puddle (fairly much a lake).
Austin posed for a couple of photos with his umbrella then helped position Jordan for a photo of them together. I then worked out the best place for them to jump in the water so I didn't get any traffic in the background. On my count, Austin was all in and jumped across to a tree. Jordan, however, stood on the edge and was very hesitant. Apparently he didn't want to get wet!
He soon worked out what to do with some guidance and before long the boys were jumping and playing chasey through the water. They had a great time! I emptied their boots numerous times before I had to convince them it was time to go home. We headed to the car to put dry clothes on then it was home for a nice warm shower.
