I love being able to spend time with and photograph so many different breeds. Their inherent traits shining through. Some more playful. Some more attentive. Some aloof. Some smarter than me. And some not so much. All of them filled with love and devotion for their humans.

Beautiful Clues keeping his distance but standing at the perfect spot to capture his reflection.

So much time in these photo shoots are spent simply getting to know the dogs and how they prefer to be photographed. Some just love the attention and could pose all day. Some barely notice you and you are hard-pressed to get eye contact. Some are a little fearful and hesitant. Sometimes it just takes patience and a soft approach to gain enough trust to get the shot.
