Let’s nail that petal throw!
What ya throwing? Biodegradable confetti is the most visually stunning, fresh rose petals are also amazing. The biodegradable stuff isn’t allowed in some places and it can get sticky.
Bubbles are also a nice alternative if your venue has strict restrictions but you’ll need a tonne of them for the look to be effective.
Dried rose petals can also be ok, they’re a bit bitzier and you can get little crumbs in your hair and down your dress so it’s lower on my list.
Avoid cutting up eucalyptus leaves, this is a free option that gained popularity but the leaves are sharp and get stuck in hair and is difficult to remove, also very scratchy.
Next best thing is your celebrants instructions to your guests. Throwing them up high and not at your faces is the best effect, and hand throwing is the best method rather than trying to jettison out of a cone (side note, ditch the cones altogether, someone’s gonna throw one at you and you don’t need them, a basket of petals works fine).
ENJOY THE MONENT! The happier you guys look the better your photos will turn out, guys especially love to try and catch petals in their mouths, and some people shield away from the flying petals, lap up the moment and enjoy it - no fear!!
Confetti canons are a great addition.
You don’t have to do this at the end of your ceremony, you can do it at the entry to your reception, during your first dance, during your exit or even during your photoshoot. Make it yours!
Add a kiss or a dip, this has grown in popularity the last few years, I don’t mind it 😍
Remember to save for later - and follow if you want to see more.
