I’m reminding myself here to rest. It’s something I find extremely challenging. I often feel like I’m not being productive if I’m not doing something and as a result I’ve come very close to burning out trying to do everything. It’s a constant juggle trying to run a small business, serve where God has called me, and be a present mum and wife. This past year has been a season of getting my ducks back in a row but most importantly, intentionally MAKING space to rest.
I’ve been kinda surprised at what a struggle it has been. It seems rushing and overworking is glorified these days and the demands on my time and energy have kept pushing back but I have learnt to set firmer boundaries (which haven’t always been accepted but that’s ok). Stepping back to make space and rest is necessary to grow, create and give out of the overflow, not the dregs.

It’s a great time of year for sandy toe beach sessions, before the weather gets scorching.
