Isn't it wonderful when you get the best portrait of your pup.

This is Sam.

He is my black lab. He is over 13 years old and still looks as handsome as ever with his baby face 😄

I was playing around with my studio lights (I don't use my studio lights often anymore) and I was using Sam as my model.

From the detail in his fur, whiskers and nose, to the catch-light in his eyes...I just love how his face merges out of the darkness with his gentle eyes.

This is definitley one for the wall.

You know, when you have a split moment to capture the perfect shot...YOU JUST TAKE IT!! 😄

These two are cousins, and I got them sitting side by side. guided them with their feet, legs and hands...

Then all of a sudden, she just rested her head on his shoulder and SNAP!💥 There it is...the perfect shot, capturing the connection between these too that will long surpass a split moment.

Quite often, I am looking in the archives for a certain portrait and accidentally come across something else I haven't seen for a while...and today I stumbled across these beauties.

Taken in 2021, it would have been between the Covid lockdowns, I met this family during the 'Front Door Project' I ran to raise funds for Foodbank SA & Central Australia.

This family had a very special story of their own and I offered a full portrait session once the lock-downs were lifted.

This portrait is extra special...

Every member of this family celebrated a milestone birthday this year, and Mum wanted nothing more than to mark this time in their lives with a family portrait.

We planned and prepped for this day - coordinated clothing, chose a location where her boys used to play when they were little, and even put in a request for perfect weather! 😁

It truly was the perfect day. We laughed, took in the moment, and created something beautiful together. And when Mum saw her portraits for the first time… and the second… and the third… her heart overflowed with love and her eyes filled with happy tears.

I am so blessed to be able to create these magical moments for you...moments that will stay with you forever. ❤️
