Booking an engagement session with the same photographer who’s doing your wedding photos?
Honestly, it’s a great idea. Here’s why I recommend it:
1. Get Comfortable: An engagement session gives you both a chance to feel more relaxed in front of the camera. By the time your wedding day comes around, you’ll know what to expect, and you’ll be more at ease—less awkward and more you in the photos.
2. Build a Connection: Spending time with your photographer before the wedding helps us really get to know each other. The more I understand your personalities and the vibe you’re after, the better I can capture those authentic moments.
3. Consistency: Using the same photographer for both sessions keeps things consistent in style, which is perfect if you want your engagement photos to tie in with your wedding photos or to use them for things like save-the-dates or your wedding website.
4. A Trial Run: It’s also a bit like a trial run for the big day—if there’s anything you feel unsure about we can work it out, so everything’s smooth and stress-free for the wedding
Plus, it’s just a fun way to capture this season of your life together. Engagement photos have a different feel than wedding photos, so it’s a great way to show more of your personalities. So yes, I’d say an engagement session is totally worth it!
