This is the last post of my 2025 Paradise Taveuni Fiji set.

In November of 2025, I partnered with Paradise Taveuni Dive Resort in Fiji to take a series of underwater photographs and videos of the Rainbow Reef system, including the stunning White Wall reef. Fiji enjoys the clearest waters on earth with visibility greater than 50 meters on almost every dive. When you can see so far underwater, the grand scale of it can be difficult to judge!

I am seeing exciting signs of recovery and resilience in South Australia Waters!

On Tuesday 27th of January, I took Hoarey and Logan to dive Second Valley and Lasseter's Reef. The sea grasses have never looked greener and healthier. Large schools of fish are returning, and I even found a 20cm Blue Devil, which is significant.

Blue Devils live to around 60 years, and about 25-30cm. They grow very slowly, and AI calculates, that 20cm should be 8-12 years old. Blue Devils are very territorial, and do not travel. That means this guy likely survived the Algal Bloom at Second Valley, something I previously thought impossible.

We topped off the dive with a quick self-rescue free-dive to release the anchor, snagged in a hole on Lasseter's Reef.
